GLASS POLYPRO - (Manufactured using TWINTEX® technology under license from Owens Corning)

GLASS POLYPRO roving and fabrics are our newest products and manufactured here in our Amsterdam, NY plant using TWINTEX® technology under license from Owens Corning. GLASS POLYPRO R PP is a roving made of commingled E-Glass and polypropylene filaments which can be woven into highly conformable fabrics. This unique and ready-to-use thermoplastic glass reinforcement has broad applications. Designed with high mechanical properties, it offers an excellent stiffness/weight ratio and superior impact properties over traditional fiberglass. Direct Roving is the base material for the GLASS POLYPRO fabric line and is provided with a Polypropylene Matrix (PP). GLASS POLYPRO further offers high processing speeds, the elimination of pot and shelf life limitations, an absence of volatile matter (styrene etc.), recyclability, efficient and environment friendly process conditions and superior design freedom.

GLASS POLYPRO RPP Roving

GLASS POLYPRO RPP is a roving made of commingled E-glass and polypropylene filaments. It is suitable for filament
winding, pultrusion, reinforcement of extruded profiles and weaving. Consolidation is done by heating the roving above the melting temperature of PP matrix (180°C–230°C / 360°F-450°F) and applying a pressure before cooling under pressure.

• 60% Glass: 32,630 lbs (14,800 kg)
• 53% Glass: 30,420 lbs (13,800 kg)

STORAGE
GLASS POLYPRO RPP must be stored in its original packaging, away from humidity and at a moderate temperature.
The best conditions are Temperatures between 15ºC and 35ºC (60°F and 95° F) with humidity between 35% and 65%.
If the product is stored at low temperatures (below 15°C/60° F), it is advisable to condition it in the workshop, for at least 24 hours before use to prevent condensation. Pallets can be stacked one above the other on two levels.
