Resin Injection Mat - Structural Flomat®

Designed for higher stress environments than our standard Flomat®; Structural Flomat® is a four-layered stitched product consisting of a highly conformable needled thermoplastic core with chopped fiberglass as both outer layers with woven material sandwiched between the core and one outside layer. This new product improves mechanical properties while maintaining conformability and rapid mold filling. This specialty resin injection mat also offers fast part injection times and significantly improved cosmetic surface finish due to the products’ unique combination of core materials and chopped glass outer layers. As with our standard Flomat®, FGI’s proprietary sizing allows the end user complete compatibility with Polyester, Vinyl Ester, and Polyurethane resin systems. Our resin injection mat with continuous fiberglass fabric is a highly conformable closed mold reinforcing material. Use it in RTM, RTM-LITE, and other closed mold applications.
